In Kuzbass, the seller of toys stole the Lego designers at work to feel like a child

In the city of Prokopyevsk, the Kemerovo Region completed a preliminary investigation of a criminal case instituted against the seller-consultant of the toy store. He is suspected of a series of thefts of Lego designers. The man took toys from work to brighten up his life behind creative games.

The suspect was charged with Part 1 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code ("Theft of someone else's property entrusted to the perpetrator"), the official website of the regional prosecutor's office reports. The curious thief, "who fell into childhood", faces a punishment in the form of two years in prison.

As investigators established, a 24-year-old man, working in a toy store, "stole property from there within six months." From February to July 2014, the production of Nesuna became models of cars, Lego designers and other items worth 19.3 thousand rubles.

“The employees of the store were identified and the culprit determined the culprits from the recordings of the cameras,” the press release says. “As he explained, he took the toys for himself, did not sell anyone, played with them at home, gathered designers.”

According to the detainee, he began to engage the theft of toys after a large batch of goods entered the store in February. “While he put it and glued the price tags, he wanted to play himself, and he decided to take out the designers from the store,” Sibnet.ru quoted Sibnet.ru commentary on the senior assistant to the prosecutor of the Kemerovo region Elena Tushkevich.

According to her, usually the attacker took out toys out of the boxes and hid under his clothes, or simply carried away with him in bags. “At the same time, he has no children, that is, he abducted toys exclusively for himself,” Tushkevich emphasized.

Police officers seized all the stolen property from the accused’s apartment, but the further fate of material evidence is not yet clear. The store does not need confiscated toys, since they have lost their presentation and it is impossible to sell them. For this reason, the administration of the "Children's World" filed a civil lawsuit for compensation for material damage, and the stolen, perhaps, will remain with the thieving seller.

At the moment, the criminal case, together with the indictment, has been transferred to court for consideration on the merits.
