Judge of the Dzerzhinsky District Court of Kharkov Elena Rudneva sentenced the medic Olga Gorzheinov to one and a half years restriction of freedom in a colony settlement for participating in the beating of the Euromaidan Vladimir Silievich in April 2014. It is reported by "Media Port".

54 -year -old Gorzheinova was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism committed by a group of persons), which provides for up to five years of restriction of freedom or up to four deprivation. The prosecutor requested for her three years in prison.

Wrjeinov did not plead guilty, calling her persecution political. The lawyer of the convict Evgeny Olenev said that the verdict would most likely be appealed.

Meanwhile, Pavel Makarenko, the lawyer of the victim Silvich, said that he was satisfied with the court decision. “We insisted that it doesn’t matter to us what the punishment will be at all,” he explained. “For us, it was fundamental that it (Gorzheinov. - Ed.) Has a guilty, and we created a precedent for the impossibility of repeating such actions by other persons.”

On April 13, 2014, Gorzheinova, a resident of Chugueva, Kharkov region, participated in the beating of Euromaidan activists in the capital of the region. Then the pro -Russian demonstrators attacked their opponents, as a result of which about 50 Euromaidans suffered. Gorzheinova kicked her legs injured. In particular, she brutally beat the wounded Silvich , a 29-year-old teacher of the Kharkov Aviation Institute, and a candidate of technical sciences.

Silievich fell into intensive care in a coma. He had the bones of the skull; Their fragments damaged the brain substance and broke the brain shells. The activist underwent two operations.

Gorzheinov was identified by video. On April 17, she was detained, and a day later, the Leninsky district court of Kharkov sent her under house arrest for a period of two months. After this time, the prosecutor's office did not ask for an extension of the arrest, since the accused did not try to hide. In addition, she was taken into account by the presence of a disabled child and an elderly mother.

Silievich after recovery went to the ATO zone, where he was repaired by military vehicles as a volunteer.
