This fall, the group of Evgeny Fedorov ( Zorge , Tequilajazzzz ) releases the second album - exactly ten years after the appearance of the Malogy of the Wine. The basis of the record will be songs specially recorded for this composition, musicians of the Markscheider Kunst, Spleen and Spitfire groups again took part in the record. The most correct, according to Fedorov himself, to characterize this music as Sophisticated Pop: an attempt to encouraging conversation on the threshold of war; Bossa-Nova and Kul-jazz in the days of marches; Flowers that bloom in spite of all winter:
"Little Honda" appeared in the fall, relatively recently; Quite often, I passed by the Vaganovsky school and automatically recalled all sorts of events from the recent past. The song was somehow imperceptibly born by itself. Of course, I see this whole story completely differently: it has much less classic Petersburg beauties, more life, bad weather and ridiculous, funny life situations. This video is the author’s work of the artist Alexander Panov. Many moments surprised me, many have amused me, but I did not find contradictions. I would not want this to be a “clip”, it is precisely that a third -party view of the song, the city and its atmosphere. From here, from the depths of our wells, “high art” (in this particular case, ballet) does not at all look like a work of celestials. This is hard everyday work, and traffic jams, crush in the subway, hangover and flu are the same as the rest of the townspeople. I’ll tell you a little secret - I personally never watch clips at all, they distract me from music itself, and I think I'm not the only one. Therefore, today we lay out the audio versions of the songs “Little Honda” and “Mafia”.
It has much fewer classic St. Petersburg beauties, more life, bad weather and ridiculous, funny life situations.
I usually do not engage in animation, just from time to time, by mood, I make videos, stop-mushen clips. As a rule, I am busy in the artistic process in the theater, in cinema or in museums. For example, I issued an exhibition dedicated to Elena Obraztsova, in the Moscow Museum of Chaliapin, took part in the creation of the EXTIVSKY Exposition and Mir in the Tchaikovsky Museum.
When Eugene on Facebook suggested that they want to make a video for new songs Optimystica Orchestra , I wrote to him that I want to try and received a song from him. What was very happy because I have been listening and love TEQUILAJAZZZ , Zorge and Optimystica Orchestra for many years. The latter is constantly in the car, it helps to survive endless Moscow traffic jams a lot.
“Little Honda” is a very sweet and understandable story to me. She causes warm feelings and evokes memories of how I lived in St. Petersburg for two years. I first got into this city when I entered the Catholic Higher Theological Seminary - although I never became a priest. By the way, the collages that are used in the video were exhibited all summer in the Loft Project "Floors"-the exhibition was called "Ships. Clouds of suitcases. "
