The Italian police removed a picture from the bank’s vault to Lugano, which is attributed to Leonardo da Vinci. The law enforcement agencies of Italy and Switzerland reached the portrait of the patroness of the artists of the Renaissance of Isabella Dʼest in 2013, when they were preparing to sell the picture.
In 2013, Carlo Pedretti, art historian and one of the largest specialists in Leonardo's work, attributed the work to the Italian master. X -ray -fluorescence analysis confirmed that the picture was painted in the first decade of the 16th century.
It is assumed that the picture will be explored further to confirm its authenticity.

Isabella DaSte repeatedly asked Leonardo to write her portrait. However, for five centuries it was only known about the existence of the drawing that he made (English).
