
The Russian manufacturer of Yota Devices's smartphones has concluded a contract for the sale of Yotaphone 2 smartphones with one of the largest Potevio distributors in China, Kommersant writes with reference to the Russian company. A source close to Yota Devices said that in China they expect to sell 1 million Yotaphone 2 for the "life cycle of goods" - a year and a half.
The amount of the contract is not disclosed, officially in Yota Devices only note that this is "one of the largest transactions in the history of transactions for the supply of Russian high -tech equipment in the field of consumer electronics to China."

Under the terms of the PotEvio contract, the Yotaphone 2 marketing support will also be carried out throughout the country. The cost of Yotaphone 2 does not disclose in the company, arguing that it will be comparable to European (699 euros).
The first owner of Yotaphone 2 in China was the leader of the PRC Xi Jinping, receiving a smartphone as a gift from Russian President Vladimir Putin, Potevio Vice President Shang Zhao recalls.
Yota Devices was created in 2011. It produces modems, routers and smartphones Yotaphone, the peculiarity of which is the presence of two screens, one of which is black and white, created using electronic ink technology (E-Hink) and is always turned on. The shareholders of Yota Devices are TelConet Foundation Sergei Adoniev and Albert Avdolyan (74.9%) and Rostec (25.1%). The company's headquarters is located in Moscow, offices in Russia, Finland, Germany and Singapore (are also preparing for the opening in Canada, China and the USA). Yota Devices presented Yotaphone 2 in December 2014. At the end of last year, sales of the device started in Russia and 20 countries of Europe, the Middle East and Asia. In addition to China, in the near future, Yotaphone 2 will appear in Indonesia, Latin and North America. In Russia, the cost of Yotaphone 2 at the start of sales was 32.99 thousand rubles, but then increased to 39.99 thousand rubles due to changes in the ruble exchange rate. How many devices were sold to date, the company was not disclosed, noting only that 30 thousand Yotaphone 2 were sold in Russia in Russia.
