In the metropolitan Buddhist center, you can make a trip to Vietnam

On the territory of the Buddhist Cultural Center ("Buddha House" - Petrovsky Boulevard, 17/1), on Thursday, the photo exhibition "Live, Love, Laugh" dedicated to Vietnamese culture opens. The exposition will allow Muscovites and guests of the capital to get acquainted with the monuments of architecture and fine art, will help to learn about the traditions and history of a distant country, whose culture was seriously influenced by Buddhism.

As noted in the press release of the exhibition, its visitors will be able not only to see photos, but also to personally meet guests from Vietnam - poets, artists, musicians and even culinary specialists.

The exhibition is dedicated to important dates for Russia and Vietnam - in 2015, countries celebrate 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations and 70 years of trade and economic cooperation.

As you know, this year has been declared a year of literature in Russia. In this regard, the organizers of the project devoted a special place for Vietnamese poetry. It is interesting to note that at present Vietnam is experiencing its poetic silver age. It seems that all citizens are enthusiastically enthusiastical there, including even the leaders of the country. Guests of the exhibition will be able to get acquainted with the samples of Vietnamese poetry of different periods - from the XI century to the present.

In addition to literary readings, the program includes lectures on the history and culture of Vietnam.

The curator of the exhibition and the author of the exhibited photographs - Victoria Kulikova - herself made a trip to Vietnam, which, according to her, incredibly enriched her inner world.

The exhibition was organized by the Russian Association of Buddhists of the Diamond Road Tradition of Karma Kagyu, the Moscow Buddhist Center of the Diamond Way, the International Public Organization for the Promotion of the Cultural and Historical Traditions of the Peoples of Central Asia "The Cultural Heritage of the Himalayas" with the support of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Department of Interregional Cooperation of National Policy and Relations with Religious Organizations of the City Moscow and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
