The Soviet and Russian actor Alexander Mikhailov, who played the main role in the film "Love and Pigeons", is prohibited from entering Ukraine for a period of five years, Ukrinform reports. Such a decision was made by the Security Service of Ukraine in response to the appeal of the country's National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting.
The reason for the appeal, clarifies the publication, was the creative evening of the actor in Lugansk, spent at the end of last year, said the chairman of the national council Yuri Artemenko.
“Mikhailov openly supported the separatists and their actions in the occupied territory and repeatedly expressed the support of the Russian soldiers of the self -proclaimed DPR and the LPR, which poses a threat to the national security of Ukraine,” Artemenko explained.
Artemenko added that his department is preparing into the SBU an appeal to ban the entrance to the country and other persons.
Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities decided to close the entrance to the country for 14 cultural figures from Russia, who supported the Russian occupation of Crimea and supported the Donetsk and Lugansk militants. Among them, singer Joseph Kobzon, actors Ivan Okhlobystin and Mikhail Porechenkov, as well as Satyric Mikhail Zadornov.
Alexander Mikhailov is most famous for the films "Love and Pigeons", "Guys!", "Lonely, a hostel is provided", "Poddubny" and "Carnival".
