Detentions of activists in the Moscow metro

Alexei Navalny and Nikolai Lyaskin were detained at the Krasnopresnenskaya metro station in the Moscow metro. The reasons for the detention were not announced to them, while the police, according to activists, “knocked them through the base.” There are three activists in the linear department at the Novoslobodskaya metro station: Andrei Kurkin, Lev Berezhnoy and Oksana Poveshchenko. The police accused them of distributing advertisements in the subway. Activist Roman Rubanov was also detained. The details of his detention are being clarified.

UPD (17:30): As reported, three activists were detained at the Park Kultury metro station: Natalya Efimova, Alexander Minin, Sergei. The activists themselves reported that they were detained at the request of an “aggressive man” who was going to write a statement to the police that the activists were handing out advertisements. At the same time, activists Ilya Grigoryan, Margarita Emelina, Anastasia Cherepanova and Nikolai Lyaskin were transferred to the line police department located next to the Novoslobodskaya metro station.

UPD (21:45): According to information, activists Ilya Grigoryan, Margarita Emelina and Anastasia Cherepanova are drawing up protocols for violating Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. Alexei Navalny and Nikolai Lyaskin remain with them in the department. The remaining activists were released after explanations were taken.
