The Krasnodar regional court left the vice-governor of Kuban Vadim Lukoyanov in custody. Previously, the prosecutor's office proposed changing the preventive measure to one not related to deprivation of liberty, but on the day of the appeal hearing it withdrew its proposal. “The decision of the court of first instance was left unchanged, the complaint was not satisfied,” the judge said, reports RIA Novosti . The investigation charges the official with Part 3 of Article 33 and Part 2 of Article 201 of the Criminal Code (organization of abuse of power). The punishment for committing this crime is up to 10 years in prison. Lukoyanov has been in custody since the beginning of February. Since 2008, Lukoyanov has headed the department for the fuel and energy complex of the Krasnodar Territory. Since the end of 2010, he also began to oversee issues of industry, transport, forestry, pricing and housing and communal services. Since December 2012, Lukoyanov, leaving the post of vice-governor, took the chair of the regional minister of natural resources.
