The French government approved the liberal economic reform without the consent of the parliament, the opposition put forward a vote of no confidence

The French government forced the adoption of a package of liberal economic bills, the so -called "Macron Law". In response to this, the Opposition Party "Union for the People's Movement" (UMP) put forward a vote of no confidence in the government. The consideration of the "Macron Law" has been suspended, RFI reports with reference to AFP.

After an emergency meeting of the government, Prime Minister Manuel Valsa decided to use Article 49-3 of the Constitution, which provides for the approval of the bill without prior discussion in parliament.

Article 49-3 enables the government in exceptional cases to circumvent the mandatory stage of parliamentary discussion in the approval of bills.

In this case, the government puts the question of its powers for voting in parliament, and potentially the cabinet of ministers can be dissolved. In the current parliament, the prime minister controls the majority of the prime minister, so the vote of no confidence is unlikely to be approved.

Votum votum of mistrust to the government, presumably, will be held in the National Assembly on Thursday, February 19.

The official website of the "Union for the Popular Movement" says that the adoption of French Prime Minister Manuel Waltz without voting is the "personal defeat" of the head of government.

"This decision indicates the impossibility of taking any structural changes to solve the problem of growing unemployment," the opposition said in a statement.

"Macron Law" is a set of measures aimed at resuming economic growth. The author of the bill is the Minister of Economics of France Emmanuel Macron. As the official himself explained, his package of bills is designed to "revive the French economy." For President Francois Hollande, Prime Minister Manuel Waltz and their associates according to the ruling Socialist Party "The Macron Law" is an important text on the path of implementing their economic policy.

The document contains more than 200 articles. In particular, a package of liberal reforms concerns trade and transport, the work of lawyers and notaries, arbitration in labor disputes, housing construction, as well as small businesses. The greatest contradiction is caused by a measure that stipulates work on Sundays.

Not only the parliamentary opposition is going to vote against the law, but also the so -called “frontaders” - socialist deputies opposing politics pursued by the government. "Fronters" accuse the government of a liberal bias.
