The trial in the case of the Barnaul oppositionist Anton Podchasov, accused of reprinting the Russophobia of Lent on a personal page in VKontakte, is scheduled for March 25. This is reported by Kasparov.ru with reference to the activist himself.
Part 1 of Article 280 (public calls for extremism) and part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (excitement of hatred or enmity) were charged with subchsov. Each of these charges provides for up to four years in the colony. The activist is under the recognizance not to leave, and his bank accounts are blocked, as Rosfinmonitoring included him in the list of terrorists and extremists. At the same time, in the list of extremist materials on the website of the Ministry of Justice "Russophobia Post" is not listed.
The case was opened in March 2014 . On August 25, Drachasov was charged with the final edition. However, since then, the prosecutor’s office has twice returned the case to the Investigative Committee for the investigation, indicating, in particular that the ongoing of two charges on the fact of one publication is prohibited by law, since it means re -persecution for the same act.
In September, Kasparov.ru reported that another episode qualified under the 280th article appeared in the case of Podchasov - the participation of an activist in the round table "Ukraine: democracy in action or a backstage revolution" dedicated to Euromaidan. Whether he remained in the final version of the prosecution, is not specified.
Popchasov is not the only Barnaul activist who began to pursue for a reprint of the "Russophobia of the post." The case under the 280th article was also opened against oppositionist Andrei Teslenko. On April 17, 2014, the CPE operatives held a search in his apartment, at the end of which the activist was taken away for interrogation. The next day, Teslenko with his wife and a young daughter fled from Russia. In November, they received a political execution in Ukraine .
The case against Teslenko was initiated by the denunciation of the former RPR-Parnas activist Alexei Ilyin, who left the party in February 2014 as a sign of solidarity with Vladimir Ryzhkov. He demanded that Teslenko delete the publication, and when he ignored this requirement, he turned to the prosecutor, saying that he was offended by such texts as Russian. Soon after sending the denunciation, Ilyin went to study in the USA.
The anonymous author of the “Russophobia of the post”, written, as you can conclude, even before the overthrow of the Viktor Yanukovych regime, sharply criticized the “Rusnya”, calling it the “people-senior people”, and called on the Euromaidanists in case of victory “deprived of the Rusnya of citizenship, as in the Baltic states.”
