Canada introduced a new package of personal sanctions

Canada announced the introduction of new sanctions against 37 individuals and 17 organizations from Russia and Ukraine, according to the official website of the Prime Minister of the country Stephen Harper.

According to the head of the government, new sanctions were introduced in response to the actions of militants in Ukraine in recent weeks.

In terms of composition, a new list is largely repeated by a similar list introduced earlier by the countries of the European Union. The “black list” of Canada from the Russian side included the deputy minister of Russia's defense Anatoly Antonov and the general director of Rostec Corporation Sergey Chemezov, Russian biker Alexander Zaldostanov, deputy Valery Rashkin, singer and deputy Joseph Kobzon and journalist Dmitry Kiselev. In addition, the list includes the deputy chief of the General Staff Andrei Kartapolov, Rear Admiral Valery Kulikov, Major General Alexei Naumets, Rear Admiral Alexander Nosatov and Lieutenant General Igor Turchenyuk.

The sanctions were also introduced against the deputy commander of the "headquarters" of the DPR Eduard Basurin, the First Deputy Chairman of the "People's Council" of the LPR Vladislav Demol, as well as other representatives of the self -proclaimed republics.

The sanctions list of Canada includes the Russian State Oil Company Rosneft, as well as the public movement "Novorossia" Igor Girkin, Cossack National Guard, the Sparta battalion and its leader Arseniy Pavlov (Motorola), the Somali battalion and its commander Mikhail Tolstykh (Givi), the Zarya battalion, and the brigade of the brigade of the brigade The Ghost, the Oplot battalion, the Kalmius battalion, the Death battalion. The sanctions also touched the commander of the Rusich unit Alexei Milchakov (Fritz), the “Minister of Defense” of the LPR Oleg Bugrov and other representatives of the militants.

On Monday, the names of Russians were named against which the sanctions of the European Union imposed. The new EU sanctions affected, in particular, Antonov, Kartapolov, Kobzon, Rashkin, as well as the first deputy defense minister Arkady Bakhin.
