Boris Mikhailovich Nosik was born in 1931 in Moscow, graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University and the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages.
The author of books about travel, novels, plays, film scores, biographies, including "Peace and gift of Vladimir Nabokov." His book "Albert Schweitzer", published in 1971 in the series "Life of wonderful people", was re -released eight times in German.
In Soviet times, along with official works, he wrote a lot “on the table” (in particular, the story “Koktebel”). He translated English -speaking literature (Ivlin, the novel "Pnin" by Vladimir Nabokov).
In recent years, Boris Nosik lived in France, wrote books about Russian emigrants in Paris. In 2011, he was elected an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts.
