Tannanizer has been going on at the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater (Ngatoib) since December 2014. Timofei Kulyabin transferred the action of Wagner's opera to the present, making a knight Henry Tangayzer film director.
At the end of January, Metropolitan Tikhoncomplained to the prosecutor’s office and the regional legislative assembly, seeing in it “humiliation of the feelings of believers, insulting the Orthodox Church and inciting religious enmity”.
The prosecutor’s document says that, according to Metropolitan Tikhon, the prosecutor’s office conducted an audit by investigating the materials provided by the Ngatoib, including the Tangayzer 54-page booklet, an advertising poster for the Tangarean Rolls Tangarean and video of the performance.
As a result of the audit in Kulyabin’s actions, “signs of an administrative offense were found, the liability for the commission of which is provided for part 2 of Article 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses”.
This is an article “Violation of the legislation on freedom of conscience, freedom of religion and religious associations”. The offense described in its second part - “intentional public desecration of religious or liturgical literature, religious veneration objects, signs or emblem of worldview symbols and attributes or their damage or destruction,” is punishable by a fine of up to 50 thousand rubles for citizens (up to 200 thousand rubles for officials) or obligatory work for up to 120 hours.
