Lawkoster "Victory" will not fly to the Crimea

Recall that the Victory Budget air carrier was created by Aeroflot in September 2014 after the previous project to create a Lawkoster - Dobralets fell under the sanctions. The first flight Lawkoster completed on December 1 to Volgograd from Vnukovo. Currently, "Victory" is flying from Moscow to Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Vladikavkaz, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Makhachkala, Nizhnevartovsk, Perm, Sochi, Surgut, Tyumen, Ufa.

Now the deceased "Goodlet" received the operator’s certificate on May 19, 2014 and began flights not from St. Petersburg, as planned, but from the Crimea. The first flight of the Boeing 737 aircraft along the Moscow -Simferopol route took place on June 10. On August 4, Dobrolet stopped its flights due to EU sanctions. European partners refused to fulfill obligations to the airline by canceled the effect of leasing contracts, maintenance and insurance protection of aircraft, as well as refusing to provide air navigation information.

As a result, the company lost insurance and, as a result, the right to operate with both its Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The EU authorities explained their decision by the fact that the company on an exclusive basis executed flights to Crimea, the accession of which Western states consider to be illegal to Russia.

After the Crimea joined Russia, the State Council of Ukraine declared airspace over the peninsula closed for flights. On November 19, it became known that the volume of fines issued by the State Aviation Administration to Russian airlines violating the ban on flights to the Crimea reached 261.5 million hryvnias (almost $ 17 million). The Federal Air Transport Agency then stated that the State Council of Ukraine was not entitled to fine the airline of the Russian Federation, since they had flights in the Russian airspace, since Crimea has been Russian territory since March 2014.

In early December 2014, the District Administrative Court of Kiev ordered the Russian Aeroflot airline to pay 7.8 million hryvnias (about 27 million rubles at the current rate) for violation of the rules and the procedure for using the airspace of Ukraine. The decision was made according to 57 claims worth 136 thousand hryvnias each.
