“The results of the latest Levada Center survey “on a representative all-Russian sample of the urban and rural population among 1,600 people aged 18 years and older in 134 settlements in 46 regions of the country have been published.” Questions were asked about attitudes towards the president, the government, local authorities and etc. There are a lot of interesting and “tasty” things there, but my attention was attracted not by today’s, but by the oldest results of similar surveys.

February 2000. 52% of respondents (more than half!) believe that “the country is moving along the wrong path” and only 28% admit that “things are going in the right direction.” In the same month of the same year, “76% of respondents approve of Vladimir Putin’s activities as president.”
