The police checked several cars under suspicion after the murder of the politician Boris Nemtsov. Their involvement in the crime was not confirmed, a source in the capital’s law enforcement agencies told RIA Novosti. Two out of three cars belonged to taxi services, their drivers were in the center during the murder, but they did not see anything. Another car belongs to the Muscovite, who at the time of the murder was Alibi - he was with friends in a cafe.

Vladimir Putin said that the murder "is of custom and provocative in nature." He instructed the leaders of the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB to form an investigative group and take the investigation under personal control.
