I have been with Boris near 25 years. I saw him in the most difficult situations. I saw in situations where life hung in the balance. I have never seen him stuck, I have never seen him frightened by something. Everyone knows perfectly well that Boris is an absolutely incorruptible person, absolutely sincere, honest to straightforwardness.
Deputy of the Municipal Assembly of the Moscow District Schukino
We met in the coordination council [opposition], but we recognized each other well recently when we traveled together to perform in Nizhny Novgorod. Then we spent a total of eight hours on a train and chatted about everything. One of the most interesting people with whom I talked.
We discussed, of course, election campaigns, Internet, etc.. In Nizhny, he posted this Facebook, and then on the train he refrezed and was happy that he was gathering likes quickly, asked where they came from.
Then he came to visit. I then lived in the center, calls me:
- I'm on the subway, how to get?
- Do you know where the Federation Council is?
-Ha ha, laugh, or what? Of course I know! I worked there!
I collected a consultation, we discussed its Internet. He said that a year ago he was imbued with work on social networks and now he writes a lot on Facebook, boasted by the number of likes, reflected on what posts people react better to, even made a sign about it. The post with my mother was in the first place.
I then began to publish polls, you may remember. He read all this, including comments ...
Governor of the Kirov region
We have not seen each other for about a year. And yesterday we accidentally met at Echo of Moscow. Borya was, as always, the oars, full of life, joked a lot. We laughed and recalled something from the general past, compared the expenses for public administration in the Kirov and Yaroslavl regions. And a few hours later he was killed ...
Nemtsov was one of the brightest people I met. Life always beat in it, he was full of ideas, plans. And he was a decent person. Sincere and honest. We often argued, in many ways did not agree, our life paths diverged - but we always maintained personal relations. I always knew that I could count on Boris, and he could count on me.
TV presenter
I know Borya even longer than I know. He loved, laughing as a roller way, telling the story of how he sang me on sledges in Davos during an important daddy meeting ... Then we became friends - he delighted me with inner freedom. He said that he thought, never “delicately” was silent. He was an honest, sparkling, bright man. He lived rapidly and died like a real fighter. He was a brilliant speaker and charismatis - there are no such people now - no one needs to convince the art, everyone is convinced, without any debate ... And on his last DR he whispered to me: "You are cool, Sobchak, albeit a woman." But hearing it was pleasant to hear from him. Always.
Politician
Just from the guys who came on a date, he learned about the murder of Boris Nemtsov. Honestly, I'm in such shock that it’s hard to even choose words.
Boris came here to visit me a couple of days ago, was as usual energetic, cheerful, full of plans. He charming the police, cheerfully chatted with them, explained how it is profitable for them to support the requirements of the Spring march, and he distributed a brochure with his report. I can’t even imagine that I will no longer see him.
This is a monstrous tragedy and loss for all of us. Borya was a very good, decent person. A big real politician and a decent person-it is not so often found. My most sincere condolences to his relatives, friends, friends, well, in general, to everyone - we really lost that you could not replenish.
I will not say anything about versions due to the obvious lack of information in my situation. I hope they will give me the opportunity to get goodbye to Boris.
Musician
Borya was a very bright and honest man. Qualities (especially the second) are almost impossible for politics.
Economist, professor of the Higher School
I - probably not alone with me - the attitude towards him has changed in recent years. From the most frivolous of the “democrats” of the 90s, the person whom I, both publicly and personally, considered it unacceptably frivolously related to politics, he turned into a person for whom politics-literally, daily work for the benefit of people-has become the only thing in life. What he did in the Yaroslavl region, exposing not abstract crooks and thieves, but quite specific - perhaps the best, made by the Russian politician in the last five years. (Each, even petty exposure is a saved ruble in the regional budget.)

Journalist
He was fun and light. For this they loved him and did not love him.
Friends, girls and associates loved. Opponents who are on the other side of the barricades did not like competitors on the political field. He was easily substituted, caused fire on himself-at first he quarreled with Berezovsky and Gusinsky, in fact, Svyazinvest, then ended up in the usual series of politicians who “hurricane in the 90s”, through a comma with his enemies, first flew with a private jet in the ATP election video, then sat down with Lemonov in a pre-trial detention center after the next “Strategy-31”. He transplanted officials to the Volga, dived into the ice hole, led off to Bolotnaya, handed out brochures on the streets about corruption, rode a sail on the board, elected to the Yaroslavl Duma. He was called playboy, he was suspected of connecting with the Kremlin, he was neglected, he was envied. He lived in politics not in the way it is customary in Russia - not with the cast -iron appearance of the eternal sufferer, but with a smile, as if playing as if to perform in a Duma or go out on a single picket - the same as drink a glass of champagne; This caused distrust, suspicion and reproaches.
His rhetoric of recent years, the usual formulations about the “criminal regime” and “Kremlin crooks” sometimes seemed too on -duty, worn out from frequent use, besides confused intonation - we instinctively trust dysfunction and carefully treat ourselves to vigor. But now these words are measured by the last and highest measure, redeemed and justified. He was right, and those who bored with him was not.

I just can't accommodate it. I can’t start thinking in a human dimension. I remember that we have somehow been sitting with him by Leni Parfyonov, for a long time, and he began to tell stories about Yeltsin times-he generally loved to tell them. At that time it was about how Yeltsin married him to the Dutch princess. And then I suddenly somehow very clearly realized that he could become a successor. He could be the president, it was real. He was a simple, smart, noble, brave, self -irony hero. Some kind of Lancelot. True, the country could be another. The fool is still Yeltsin.
Special correspondent "Medusa"
Boris Efimovich, thank you for all the comments since Kommersant; I was terribly shy to call every time. A big politician, all things. Thanks for the conversations, for the stories about the fun 90s. For giving my father a book and wrote in an autograph: “Thank you for my son.” I will not forget. Thank you for staying a man.
Activist "Zone of Law"
I did not like Boris Nemtsov until I met him. When I met, I no longer loved, but I did not trust a little. Then I went to work for his election campaign in the Yaroslavl region. Not from great love, but for personal reasons. And suddenly it turned out that Nemtsov was an absolutely normal person. I almost always disgusted me from conditional "federal politicians", but it was not from it. I remember how we easily dined with him in McDonald's next to the factory in Rybinsk. As we almost ended in gas on the God of a forgotten road, and we joked fun about it. How are grannies in the Krasnoperekop district of Yaroslavl incredulously asked: “Who is? Nemtsov? From the TV which, or what? " As I left his party three months after the entry and thought that he would swear, and he only smiled and jokingly called me a hooligan. As he told me that everything will always be fine with me, because I am ingenuous. He said - “You will come home at seven in the morning, your husband will ask you - where was it? And you will just tell him - wandered. And all! And what can you show you here? No problems. " And so he probably was like that too. After the guys and I elected him to the regional Duma, I was really surprised that he really worked there, was engaged in business, almost the only opposition politician in Russia who did what he should do.
Leader of the party "Democratic choice"
I well remember how you burned your reputation, stood up against B.'s attempts and G. grab yourself “Svyazinvest”, which was worth your career - when Yeltsin later told you that “he was tired of protecting you.” I remember how you tried to carry out real reforms, at the moment when everyone did not care, and these “all” ran between Tanya and Valya and the IMF, and you were one of the few who thought about the country.
I well remember how in the Duma elections of 2007, when the shelter liberal conformists mean and tried with all his might to defeat the Kremlin, you were the only one to rallies of a radical opposition and demanded a change in the entire course and the entire system, when it was not yet fashionable. One very famous and now Polita dude then, in December 2007, said to me: “If anyone has dignity in the past Duma elections, then Bori Nemtsov and ATP have it.” This dude now writes Putin articles on how the West was tasted in Ukraine, insidiously trying to drag it into NATO. And then he secretly admired you.
I remember how after those elections you called me and offered to write a report on Putin. Now everyone knows who Rotenbergs and Timchenko are, and then you were an enthusiast of this anti -corruption topic. You first brought this topic to the mainstream in such a way that everyone talks about it.
I remember how you personally bypassed half and so, for two months I walked around the yards and entrances to chat with ordinary people, and tell them that the city can be controlled completely differently, and live in it in a completely different way. I remember the faces of these people. You went to other meetings and did not hear this, and they remained and discussed for a long time how cool you were.
Editor -in -chief of the radio station "Echo Moscow"
Only right now began to realize which hole was formed in life. And there is no one to quarrel with a whistle with a whistle now.
Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia in 1997
Hatred accumulates in me in layers. It will cover the soul like varnish and dry. Then - the next layer. I am covered with a crust of hatred. Such layer as mica. Someone apparently needs it. So I hate. After all, I do not want it myself? Borya, Borya ... You were strong like a bull. Beautiful, self -sufficient, unenviable, honest, dare. Could you endure you weak, notorious, envious, lying and cowardly power? The Lamb was sacrificed to Moloch. The sins of power were weighed. Her abomination has already become unbearable. Is it not yet clear on which side is good, but on whose evil is? On which side is progress, and on whose - obscurantism and reaction? On which side is life, and on whose death is? There is no death. There is no death. Peace to you. Boris Nemtsov. I will never be like you. I'm weaker. I will keep your memory about you. And I will never cease to be true to the ideals for which you gave your life. Perhaps a bad fighter of me. But I'm not a traitor. Sleep, my friend. I loved you. I love you. I will always love you.
Parliamentary correspondent of the Echo of Moscow radio station
I do not know any more person in Russian politics - he was the last to love life so much. Everyone else love power (and themselves in it). Well, or the struggle with the authorities (and yourself in it). And Nemtsov simply loved life - both when he was in power, and when he fought with her.
Head of the Moscow Bureau of the German magazine Focus
They killed Boris Nemtsov. Executed. He was my friend. He was a ray of light. I saw him for the last time in October. He was afraid that he would be killed. And yet he was full of life, full of youthful charm. He was full of vital energy. He was a striking contrast with the “biorobots” from the KGB retort. Putin, they said, envied him. Boris was sometimes eccentric, but always sincere. He was called an American spy, a “fifth column”, and [and] a fascist. But he was stronger than fear. Boris Nemtsov became a victim of hatred that the Putin system sows every day. Bright memory, Boris! Your smile will live! And she is a symbol of the new, another Russia.
Poet, publicist
He always made the impression of a man happy, free and light, even frivolous. Such Mozart from politics. Yes, such, alas, do not live too long. He was not just alive, but somehow defiantly alive. And this quality is always offensive to the dead, especially for those dead people who clung to the flesh of an unfortunate country with stiff fingers.

Borya was cheerful and pretty. Of course, an idealist, they bored him - well, what a politician who lacks cynicism and cold calculation? I went to him to Nizhny in the 96th, he was a lip, I then made an interview, now, a new politician, a humorous curly handsome man, this is a new life, a new era, we finally took up the mind and now the best go to power, well, finally! Instead of dull apparatchiks. Yes, there was such a thought ... Each time he spoke about his mother, Dina Yakovlevna, every time, literally. I talked to her a couple of times, she is pretty, cheerful, open! And he quoted her for any occasion. She is worth it. He began to speak in this spirit for a long time: in Russia there will be fascism, if it is not done this and that. You are sure? I asked. Certainly! I answered - it means it will definitely be, because no one will fulfill the conditions about which you spoke. The conversations ... A lot does a lot mean that Borya is a Jew, they feel more sharply fascism, and the Russians react sluggishly on the topic and sometimes joke: but I’m scary, what is scary? He was unhappy that I laughed at Paphos, but I always liked him more as a person, than his ideas, people are more important and more expensive and more interesting. I loved him. He wanted to make a book about him, he was worth it, but he did not respond.
Member of the Board of the Human Rights Society "Memorial"
Someone remembers a million signatures against the war in Chechnya-those that he brought Yeltsin in 1996. But he tried to stop the war to the end - while it was possible. I remember how in December 2000 Nemtsov and several more deputies of the Duma came to Ingushetia, for negotiations with deputies of the Chechen parliament. Then it did not work ...
TV presenter
Boris Nemtsov asked me to speak at the First Bolotnaya. Before that, we were not familiar, so, as I remember now, I was very surprised at his call. But there was such a transparent-shaven one, filled with hopes, well, a real thaw, but it was her, now it is clear. "To change life for the better ..." No, they did not change. Something went wrong. The most disgusting, the most vile, left, the boundaries of human understanding disappeared - after the death of a person it was always customary to say only good. Now, on different sides, the borders of the two camps, the two warning of the peoples of two thoughts, one - so he needs to be guilty, the other is all over, it is necessary to take away the children. The first thought one hundred percent coincides with the reaction to Je Suis Charlie. They themselves are to blame, received what they were running out. And Nemtsov also received, it was not fig. Yes? Looks like really? And from here I personally have a different question, for another people, from the same country as the first carriers-and where to blame something? Why are we so scolding our power and it is our country and it is from it that we want to dump it quickly - where? In another the same, with the same drawn borders between the two camps? Where are the boundaries? I think that you can’t kill. And on the other side of the border, it is believed that it is possible. And in such conditions it is pointless to fight. Because civil society is always unarmed, that’s why it is civilian.
And even earlier they announced a minute of silence about some general tragedy. So that people are silent and think. About the dead - only good. They can no longer be resurrected to justify themselves.

I can no longer bury friends, colleagues, heroes, loved ones, none of them died a natural death, I have not seen her. We just go, go, good, funny, and the holes suddenly find themselves underfoot, and someone falls into these holes, and the rest continue to go and speak.

Borya Nemtsov was for me the only politician with whom it was not ashamed to be friends ...

I knew Boris Nemtsov for 25 years - a whole life. I remember him with a curly boy at the first Russian deputy congress. I remember the young governor of Nizhny Novgorod. Playboy-Vice-Prime Minister, almost already the heir to Yeltsin. And I also remember the opposition - funny and fearless. Boris Nemtsov managed to be a politician even when there was no policy in Russia - one banditry and madness. And he was a great guy. I loved him.
Deputy editor -in -chief of the newspaper Kommersant
Boris Nemtsov lost, but never considered himself a loser. He always tried to be popular, but did not sacrifice principles for popularity. And regardless of the circumstances, Boris Nemtsov every day and every hour proved that a Russian politician can and should be a living person, and not a function, mistaken and seeking, and not a walking dogma. Probably, this is exactly how public policy should be where there is public policy.

In 1989, it seems, the year, I escorted Merab Mamardashvili to the metro and told him about my almost infant experience in the presence of the war. Merab carefully listened to me a person’s personal, and then unexpectedly summed up: your friends have not yet killed in front of your eyes and the scale of the ancient drama is fiction for you. I did not understand his words until today. In the same 1989, I met Borea.

Everyone. Alas.

She sat in Lefortovo even then. He really wanted to help Davydova. I transferred money for her. He helped a lot. It was fearless. Enchanted beautiful. Talented. Kind. Generous.
