Russia may allow agricultural products from Hungary and Greece

Moscow is considering the possibility of importing food raw materials from some European countries. This was stated by Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, Izvestia reported . So he commented on the request of the Greece Government to cancel the ban on the supply of agricultural products.

Russia, as a member of the WTO, cannot make the exclusion of individual countries, the supplies from which the embargo is imposed, Peskov noted. However, this restriction applies only to direct supplies.

"In this case, it would be possible to work out a scheme not of direct deliveries, but supplies of long -time raw materials during investments here in Russia in the creation of food processing enterprises," Peskov said.

Deliveries of tall raw materials involve its import for further processing at specific enterprises. At the same time, the supplier does not lose ownership of his products.

In February, during a visit to Budapest, President Vladimir Putin stated that, despite the sanctions, the agro -industrial enterprises of Hungary and Russia will be able to cooperate, Peskov reminded.

On February 25, the head of the EU diplomacy Federica Mogherini said that Moscow expects to split the European Union : "Once again and again Moscow (and not only Moscow) is a bet on the split of our union. But our differences turned out to be our wealth, and through the exhaustive dialogue we have always managed to form our common European interest. Our strength is this."

Russia and self -proclaimed "people's republics" should urgently implement the Minsk agreements, observe the ceasefire, and take weapons, emphasized Mogherini. Otherwise, the EU will take additional measures against Russia.

“The EU will be firmly in its steps against further violence and take appropriate measures if the fighting or other violations of the Minsk agreements continue,” Mogherini said. “Our answer to the crisis in mixed sanctions, both economic, political, and in exhausting, sometimes exhausting diplomacy.”

“We work, as always, to prepare additional measures in order to apply them if such a day comes and it will be necessary,” the head of the European Foreign Ministry emphasized.
