The Government of the Russian Federation increased the maximum price for one square meter of economic class housing under the “Housing for the Russian Family” program to 35 thousand rubles from 30 thousand rubles, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting with his deputies.
He noted that this project, launched last year, is designed to help improve housing conditions for those Russians who cannot do it on their own, RIA Novosti reports. When starting a program, in which, by the end of 2017, it is planned to build at least 25 million square meters in a number of Russian regions. Economic class housing meters , the maximum price of a square meter of 30 thousand rubles was set as the main condition.
“However, for obvious reasons, it has become more expensive to build houses: prices for building materials and equipment rose. It is impossible to ignore this, and developers simply cannot, in any case, not all, to participate in the implementation of this program. In some regions, there were problems with the choice of developers, land plots for construction,” Medvedev said on Monday.
"In order to unleash this set of problems, it was decided to increase the maximum price for one square meter of economy class housing in the framework of this program. The increase is not very significant - taking into account the rate of inflation and ruble devaluation, this very figure will increase from 30 thousand rubles to 35 thousand rubles, but it will not exceed 80% of the market value of a square meter of housing. I signed such a decree a few days ago," - The prime minister noted.
He indicated that this decision could be adjusted in accordance with the economic situation. "We must watch the situation. If it is somewhat better, we can adjust the decisions that are made, and, conversely, be distracted by some difficulties that may arise in the economy," Medvedev said.
