Sakhalin Governor Khoroshavin was arrested until April 27

Judge of the Basmann District Court of Moscow Valentina Levashova arrested the Governor of the Sakhalin Region Alexander Khoroshavin, who suspected of bribery, for a period of April 27 inclusive. It is reported by TASS. Now, within 10 days, the TFR must submit an official charge to the official.

Khoroshavin himself declared his innocence and petitioned for house arrest or release for a "reasonable security" - 5 million rubles. Nevertheless, Levashova took the side of the investigation.

The detention of Khoroshavin of the TFR announced earlier on Wednesday . The Sakhalin Governor is suspected of part 6 of Article 290 (receiving a bribe on an especially large scale), which provides for up to 15 years of the colony, and in part 4 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code (mediation in bribery on an especially large scale), the sanction is up to 12 years.

Early in the morning on Wednesday morning, the governor and several members of his team, including the head of the secretariat Vyacheslav Gorbachev and assistant Andrei Ikramov, were detained and sent under escort to Moscow. At home at Khoroshavin, the SKR, with the support of the FSB operatives, searched, having seized large amounts of money, jewelry, expensive watches and phones.

Earlier, the regional heads of the Investigative Committee and the FSB began checking a number of ministries and departments of the region. On Tuesday, the search was held in the House of the Government of the Sakhalin Region.
