Activist of the Kyiv Euromaidan Alexander Kostenko, arrested by the occupying authorities of Crimea in the fabricated case of an attack on the Berkutian, is tortured in SIZO-1 in Simferopol. This was reported by the Crimean field mission to human rights with reference to the open letter of the political zone to Russian human rights organizations.
According to Kostenko, he was put in Press Kata and there he is subjected to constant bullying by cellmates by the names of Bulb, Bazhenov and Guzeev. The activist explained that he was required to testify at his comrades in Euromaidan.
“I'm afraid to file complaints to the administration of the pre -trial detention center because of the threats coming from the sometimes setting and causing person in civilian clothes,” the Maidanovets noted.
He also emphasized that he did not commit any crimes against the Berkutians.
In the photo from the pre -trial detention center, the left hand of Kostenko is below the elbow of the pushing.
Politsek’s lawyer Dmitry Sotnikov demanded from the prison administration to investigate the facts of the torture of the activist and take appropriate measures. "Not only did Kostenko be taken to a pre -trial detention center with traces of the use of torture, but, already in jail, Kostenko is also regularly subjected to beatings," the lawyer said in a statement.
According to the Crimean field mission, 28-year-old Kostenko was detained on February 5. There are good suspicions that the Russian security forces abducted Kostenko from continental Ukraine and illegally taken to the Crimea.
Later, the illegitimate Kiev district court of Simferopol arrested the activist for two months .
According to the TFR, on February 18, 2014, during the battles on the Maidan in Kyiv, Kostenko threw a stone at the Crimean Berkutian, causing bodily harm. At the same time, according to the paragraph 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code, which was imputed to him (intentional infliction of easy harm to health for hate or enmity against any social group), which provides for only two years of the colony, arrest in accordance with Article 108 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (detention) can be applied only in exceptional cases.
Meanwhile, the deputy chairman of the Crimean field mission Olga Skripnik notes that the initiation of the Investigative Committee of the case of events in Kyiv violates the principles of the legality of criminal law and territorial jurisdiction.
