In 2012, Governor Viktor Basargin decided to make the museum state, as a result, ANO “Perm-36” lost buildings, museum funds and budget financing, all this went to the state autonomous cultural institution “Perm-36”.

As Viktor Shmyrov said, former officers, "including officers of this camp, help current employees of the museum. “Now there is no word there about repressions,” the former director of the museum emphasized. However, Shmyrov is optimistic: “The task of preserving the monument, the buildings of the Gulag era in the museum were performed. This is the only complex that remained in our country and in the world. ”
