Switzerland, following the European Union, has expanded restrictive measures against Russia, adding 19 individuals and 9 legal entities to the sanctions list. In particular, the list includes State Duma deputy Iosif Kobzon, as well as deputy defense ministers of the Russian Federation Arkady Bakhin and Anatoly Antonov. Persons on the list are prohibited from doing business with financial institutions in Switzerland.
“Given the situation in Ukraine and following the decisions of the European Union, the Swiss Federal Council has decided to expand the restrictive measures to prevent circumvention of international sanctions,” the Swiss government said in a statement.
