In the Tver region, the house-museum of Joseph Stalin will be opened. According to the "faces" in the Tver branch of the Memorial Society, the administration of the Rzhevsky district approved the proposal of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO) to create a museum in the village of Khoroshev, where Stalin stopped during a trip to the front-line lane in August 1943. The opening of the museum will be dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The Russian Military Historical Society was created in 2013. The organization is led by Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, the Board of Trustees is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, the Scientific Council - the head of the CEC Vladimir Churov.

The museum will be opened in the house of the Kondratyeva collective farmer, in which the Supreme Commander spent the night. After the war, the hut was decided to preserve as a monument of military history. In Stalin’s House, a library was opened with a small memorial part, which was liquidated in the late 1950s and recreated in 1983. On August 5, 2013, to the 70th anniversary of the visit of Stalin, a memorial plaque with the order of the Generalissimo about the first artillery salute in honor of the capture of the eagle and Belgorod was opened to the hut.

According to the project of the exposition of the house-museum, the main attention will be paid to the personality of Stalin "as a commander, statesman, head of the country, politics and organizer." The dictator will be represented as a leader whose activity "for decades defined the fate of the post -war world." The exposition will be covered by 14 topics, of which only 4 are associated with the stay of the commander in chief in the Rzhevsky district. The authors of the technical assignment offer, in particular, to reveal the role of Stalin in the "revival of the Russian Orthodox Church." The exposition will also reflect such topics as “10 Stalin’s blows”, “I.V. Stalin’s contribution to the victory”, “The role of I.V. Stalin in the evacuation of industry”, “Stalin as a symbol of Soviet successes and victories”.
