The former head of the Moscow Department of Culture, Sergei Kapkov, announced his intention to call the artistic director of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theodore Krentzis to Moscow.
On March 10, Sergei Kapkov resigned from the post of head of the Moscow Department of Culture, which he has occupied since September 2011. In an interview published by the Vedomosti newspaper today, March 11, Kapkov said: “In the plans - to invite theodore Krentzis to Moscow from Perm from Perm.” When asked where Krentzis will work, Kapkov replied: "We will decide."
According to the Perm Internet Gazeta "New Companion" , Theodore Krentzis did not refute the fact of negotiations with Kapkov, but refused to comment.
“He receives a lot of offers, but I don’t know if he is considering them seriously,” said Galina Polushkin, Executive Director of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater.
It is known that Krentsis has stretched relations with the Ministry of Culture of the Perm Territory, which last fall announced a two -time reduction in financing of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater from the regional budget and required the mandatory coordination of the theater's repertoire.
In response, Krentzis publicly criticized the actions of the regional Ministry of Culture, accusing him of incompetence.
