More than a quarter of a million spectators demanded to return to the body of the host of the Top Gear program

The network continues to collect signatures on the return of Jeremy Clarkson, leading the popular BBC television program about Top Gear cars, TASS reports with reference to the press of the Associability Press. Already now, more than 250 thousand people have signed the petition and the number of signatures continues to increase.

Recall that Jeremy Clarkson was removed from participating in the filming of the program because of the fight that he arranged with one of the producers of the program.

According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the 36-year-old Oisin Timon was injured. The motive for Clarkson’s act is called dissatisfaction due to the lack of food for the crew after a long working day in Newcastle.

Clarkson himself denies that he resorted to violence. He told The Sun to the newspaper, while the situation is settled. The source of the publication also indicated that he "did not beat anyone."

The official representative of the BBC before the end of the trial, which is designed to establish all the details of the incident, chose to limit himself to a brief message about the suspension of Clarkson's work on the program due to the "noisy quarrel".

Meanwhile, observers doubt that the three remaining programs of the season will generally take the air. Sundays in the next two weeks have already been officially canceled. Perhaps the same fate is waiting for the final program of the current series.

In recent years, Clarkson often ended up in the center of large scandals.

In the fall of 2014, during the filming in Argentina, a conflict occurred between local residents and the film crew. The cars of the program employees threw stones during their stay in the province of Thierra del Fiego in the south of the country, where they arrived for filming the show. Dissatisfaction of the protesters caused the number of Clarkson's car H982 FKL, in which the attackers saw an insulting hint of the events of the 1982 Falkland War. The letters on it are associated with the name of the Falkland Islands, and the numbers with the year of the war.

As a result of the attack, one of the Argentine technical specialists hired by the Top Gear team was wounded - the stone fell into the face of a young man. Several police officers who guarded the television people were also attacked by the outraged Argentines.

The producers of the show assure that there was no provocation on their part. Both the number and letters on one of the cars are just a random set of signs.

In May 2014, the BBC leadership made Clarkson the Last Warning. The reason was that when recording the next program, the presenter uttered the children's counting, which was considered offensive to representatives of the country's black population.
