The authorities of the Perm Territory refused to demand a million rubles from Perm-36 for heating the museum

The Ministry of Culture of the Perm Territory withdrawn claims in the amount of a million rubles to the autonomous non-profit organization (ANO) "Perm-36", which ruled the memorial museum of the history of political repression, for debts on housing and communal services. About this to the reporters of the Rain television channel was told by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Perm Territory Tatyana Margolina.

"They called me today and said that by order of the governor, the Ministry of Culture is calling for these claims," ​​she said.

A little more than a year ago, the regional government suddenly stopped paying the institution’s accounts, thereby accumulating communal debt. And in May 2014, the Minister of Culture Perm Igor Gladnev fired the director Tatyana Kursina. Water and electricity were disconnected, excursions ceased, the director of the museum was dismissed for "incompetence."

At the very memorial center, troubles soon began. For example, on television, a plot was shown in which the museum was accused of antipatriotism, Kommersant notes. Later, the museum was re -registered in the state institution of culture. ANO at the same time announced self -destruction.

In early March 2015, it became known that the Perm-36 Gulag Museum, which recently transferred from the non-profit organization to the full control of the state, will radically have been changed: all mention of repressions and Stalin will disappear . The nearest exhibition will be dedicated to Alexander Solzhenitsyn, reports Business-Class .

The leadership of the museum has no doubt that “this is a political decision”, although earlier human rights activists reported that President Putin also expressed concern about the situation around a unique object - the only surviving camp built during the Stalinist terror.

The Perm-36 Museum was decided to create in 1992 in the premises of the former Soviet colony. The owner of the museum complex and land is a state that allocated funds to pay for utilities and repair of premises. Museum exhibits belong to the Perm-36 ANO and individuals who previously transferred them to the museum for exhibiting.
