Two more defendants in the murder case of Boris Nemtsov have appealed their arrest. As Anna Fadeeva, press secretary of the Basmanny Court, told Interfax, the court received complaints from lawyers Anzor Gubashev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov.

As RBC previously reported, on Tuesday was appealed the arrest of the third person involved in the case, Khamzat Bakhaev, . His lawyer Sofya Rubasskaya filed a complaint to the court.

According to Fadeeva, the defense of two other defendants - Shagit Gubashev and Zaur Dadaev - have not yet filed complaints against the arrest.

On March 8, the Basmanny court arrested five alleged accomplices in Nemtsov’s murder: lieutenant of the Chechen battalion “North” stationed in Grozny Zaur Dadaev, brothers Shagid and Anzor Gubashev, as well as Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Khamzat Bakhaev.

During the hearing, the judge noted that Dadaev’s guilt was confirmed by his confession . Dadaev was charged under Article 105, Part 2, paragraphs “g” and “h” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder committed by an organized group for mercenary reasons or for hire, as well as associated with robbery, extortion or banditry), as well as Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, storage and transportation of weapons). Today, Moskovsky Komsomolets reported that Dadaev agreed to confess in order to save his friend at the time of detention, and was going to tell “the whole truth” at the trial, where he did not receive such an opportunity.

Boris Nemtsov was killed late in the evening of February 27 on the Bolshoi Moskvoretsky Bridge. The killer shot the politician several times and fled in a gray ZAZ Chance car. Four bullets hit Nemtsov’s body and caused fatal wounds.
