Bashkir activist Dilmukhametov received 3 years strict regime

Judge of the Kirovsky District Court of Ufa Rosa Bulatov sentenced the activist of the Bashkir National Movement of Ayrat Dilmukhametov to three years in a maximum regime for the publication on the Internet of the religious and political treatise "Akhir Zaman" ("Light-purification"). This was reported on Thursday by Kommersant-Bashkortostan.

Dilmukhametov was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code (public calls for terrorism), which provides for up to five years of the colony. A two -year ban on journalism has been imposed as an additional punishment for an activist.

The prosecutor requested for the defendant for 4 years 10 months. The lawyer Vsevolod Lebedintsev insisted on an acquittal, claiming the unproven of the prosecution.

The bailiffs did not allow the public and the press to announce the sentence, referring to the order of Bulatova. Meanwhile, they themselves admitted that the judge did not make an official decision on this subject. As the New Gazeta clarifies , the activist’s mother was still allowed to the meeting, but his wife and sister were not.

Before the verdict, Dilmukhametov was free. He was taken into custody in the courtroom.

The case against the activist was opened in July 2013. The investigation was conducted by the regional head of the FSB. Earlier, in March of the same year, the Kirovsky district court, at the request of the district prosecutor's office , was recognized by Akhir Zaman with extremist material . In May, the Supreme Court of Bashkiria left this decision in force .

Earlier, Dilmukhametov was already repeatedly convicted by the "extremist" articles of the Criminal Code for his publications. The last time, on April 19, 2011, he received a real term - six years of colony -settlement - in part 2 of article 205.2 (public calls for terrorism using the media), part 2 of Article 280 (public calls for extremism through the media) and part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (excitement of hatred or enmity). Together with Dilmukhametov, the editor of the Samizdata Internet Gazeta Maidan Robert Zagrev was convicted-he received on the same charges three and a half years of the penal colony.

On October 7, 2011, the Supreme Court of Bashkiria re-qualified parts of 2 articles 205.2 and 280 in the affairs of Dilmukhametov and Zagrev to part 1, excluding the qualifying sign of the use of the media, and reduced the terms of up to three years and six months, respectively. Later, after entering into force in December 2011, mitigating amendments to the Criminal Code, an activist who was in the KP-31 Khakassia in Chernogorsk filed a petition to the Supreme Court of this region to exclude Article 280 from the prosecution of the statute of limitations. This petition was satisfied, reducing the activist a term of to two years.

On August 31, 2012, Dilmukhametov freed himself, completely serving his two years.
