The young Austrian group Rammelhof , who called itself from a randomly bilted settlement, decided to participate in the song about Putin Wladimir (Put Put Putin) in the competition of songs of protest in Berlin and, having defeated there among 25 groups, immediately became known not only in Germany, but also in other countries, in those names of which are flashed in the text. Ukraine and Russia. For two and a half months, the clip scored 750 thousand clicks in YOTUBE. Over the past 10 days, 200 thousand have increased, therefore, to a million not far.
The members of the group - four men and girl Gina der Gino - are familiar with the service in the Austrian army. All of them took pseudonyms: the main speaker of the group calls himself General Gory . The rest is called Verman Shrul, Urgos Brutalos and Rice Nikolaev.
Where did Nikolaev recruit come from? General Gory answers this and other questions:
- The recruit of Nikolaev is our bassist, who has Russian roots, hence the pseudonym.
- How did the idea of the song arise?
- All members of the group are interested in politics, and we have long been following the development of events in Ukraine and in Russia. Personally, I have an interest in Russia more old than those of my colleagues, and it is also due to the fact that both of my grandfathers fought in Russia in the Second World War. More precisely, from here my interest in Eastern Europe as a whole, but when this crisis began in Ukraine and around it, I wanted to write a song on this topic. The song, however, is not only about Vladimir Putin, but (and, perhaps, first of all) that we see democracy as such in danger. And in our Austria, in Germany, and in Europe as a whole, and in the USA there are more and more people, entire layers of the population that would support a moderate dictatorship. It bothers us, and we wanted to express this in the song.
- In the text there is a phrase "Many people want to have a strong leadership over themselves!"
- You correctly noticed, this is the most important offer in the whole song. And we are afraid that even in our Western industrial countries, many feel the need for a strong leader, a strong man or a strong woman. And this desire for the masses to one degree or another is translated into reality. President Obama in the United States has, perhaps, excessive power, and in Germany Mrs. Merkel already has a very great political weight. All this meets this very need for the masses in strong leadership. So Putin is one of the symptoms of danger threatening democracy.
-And yet the song is not about Obama or Merkel, but about Putin. Why?
- Putin is the most striking example of a new dictator and a new dictatorship, and here we were creatively lucky, for the word “travel” is called in Austria and a turkey and a rooster, and, based on this, we are trying to present a modern story in a playful humorous way. It turned out, as well as possible, the fact that we have all poultry, they cry a put-put (imitating clicking). Therefore, we shot our video in the chicken coop.

The difference is visible outside, but everything is similar inside.
And inside everything is the same!
General Gory did not really want to comment on modern policy and the balance of power in the world in an interview with direct text, avoided assessments, but is it necessary? The song clearly speaks of the views of the authors, laughs at the global chicken coop, the main rooster of which Putin imagines himself ... he imagines until the owner of the chicken coop chicks him and calls him: "Put-put-put-put-put!". And he will not drag under the knife.
