Earlier, Kommersant reported that Sobchak temporarily left Russia on the recommendation of special services due to threats to her. According to the publication, the TV presenter announced her intention on the evening of March 13, during a dinner at the Central House of Artists in honor of the release of the first issue of the L'Officiel magazine under her leadership. Sobchak came to the event accompanied by her husband Maxim Vitorgan and two guards.

I will leave Russia for a while,” Kommersant Sobchak quoted. Close friends informally explained to the publication that she was leaving on the recommendation of special services.
Slon.ru later specified with reference to Sobchak’s comment that she did not intend to emigrate, but now he really is abroad. “I went on a planned trip and I will be back soon,” the TV presenter said. “I am with my friends, and we are not talking about any emigration. I can’t say, unfortunately, because of security issues.”
On March 3, after farewell to Boris Nemtsov in the Sakharov Center, Sobchak reported that she was threatened by an unknown person. “At the exit from the center of Sakharov, they stood with Alexei Venediktov and talked about Bor. The man comes up:“ Keep in mind - you are next, Ksenia, ”she wrote on Twitter.
On March 10, the New Gazeta reported the existence of the "shooting list" of politicians and journalists. According to the publication, Nemtsov, Alexei Venediktov, Mikhail Khodorkovsky and probably Sobchak were included in the list. "New" reported that the head of the FSB Alexander Bortnikov reported this list to Vladimir Putin.
On March 11, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov on the air of Echo of Moscow called the absurdity of the existence of such a list. “I unknown the details of all reports of law enforcement and power services. Yes, it is impossible to disclose,” the presidential spokesman added.

The journalist asked: "You - as a lawyer, as a guarantor of the Constitution - will you protect citizens who are subject to extrajudicial reprisals?" Sobchak also mentioned the attack on the office of a consolidated mobile group of human rights activists in Chechnya.
Putin replied that the demolition of the houses of militants in Chechnya could actually be a provocation against the head of the region Ramzan Kadyrov. “We don’t know who the people burning at home,” the head of state said. “Kadyrov’s statement could only be a splash of emotions - and other people could take advantage of this statement.”
