In Moscow, a school of writing will work in the summer. A competition for free places is opened

In the summer of 2015, Creative Writing School (CWS) is opened in Moscow - a school of writing. Classes at the school will be held from July 6 to 17 at the I. S. Turgenev library, Colta.ru reports.

This is the first experience in adaptation Creative Writing ("Creative Letter") - disciplines popular in the American and British education system.

In the school of writing, literary workshops in art prose, script, translation and composition of popular science biographies will open.

The workshops will be held by famous writers, philologists and translators, laureates of literary awards, in addition, possessing great teaching experience: the writer and professor of the Higher School of Economics, the writer and screenwriter Marina Stepnova, translators and teachers of Moscow State University Viktor Sonykin, Alexander Borisenko, writer Irina Lukyanova and Associate Professor of the Higher School of Sciences, Alexei Vdovin.

In addition to seminars at the school, lectures will be given. Writers Dmitry Bykov and Alexei Varlamov, screenwriter and director Avdotya Smirnov will tell participants in the school of a lecture on narrative strategies of English -speaking authors, problems that stand in the way of biographer, scenario crafts. Creative Writing School is a non -profit educational project, and there will be both paid and free places in the school. The competition for free places will begin on March 20 and end on April 15. On April 18, the winners of the competition will be announced.

The works of the best participants in the school will be published in reputable literary magazines and in the almanac, released following the work of workshops.
