The deputy head of the Department of Property Relations of the Ministry of Defense was arrested on suspicion of receiving bribes

Deputy Head of the Department of Property Relations (Dio) of the Ministry of Defense Alexander Gorshkolepov was arrested on suspicion of receiving bribes. According to the Kommersant newspaper, this is the first scandal in the military department after it was headed by Sergey Shoigu.

In addition to investigators, military counterintelligence and special forces participated in the operation to detain Gorshkolepov. The court chose a detained measure of restraint in the form of detention. According to the publication, the official is currently in the capital's pre -trial detention center Lefortovo.

The deputy chief of Dio, who previously led the main person involved in the case of Oboronservice, Evgenia Vasiliev , is charged with eight episodes of receiving bribes on an especially large amount under Art. 290 of the Criminal Code. The arrested showed a confession, the source of the publication in the apparatus of the Minister of Defense said.

In the field of view of the investigators, Gorshkolepa came after the audit conducted at OJSC Agroprom, the subsidiary of Oboronservis, which he was the curator. Employees of the Main Military Prosecutor's Office (GVP) opened four episodes, which, in their opinion, must be qualified under the article on abuse of power. The total amount of damage was estimated at 16.6 million rubles. During the investigation, episodes were also revealed, which investigators qualified as a Gorsholopov bribe.

According to the publication, one of the episodes revealed by prosecutors was associated with the acquisition of agropomom of designer furniture and household appliances for 2.56 million rubles. According to GVP, the purchase of these items was carried out in April 2014 at the request of the Gorshkolepov supervising "Agropom" in order to equip the office rooms of his department at the Ministry of Defense. The main claims based on the AGREPROM audit were presented to its ex-General Director Fedor Zorov.

Meanwhile, according to TASS, Gorshkolepov is accused of what he helped to get interested people in certain positions in the structures of the Ministry of Defense for bribes. "He was dealing with issues related to the reform of the Oboronservis organization, but his arrest is not related to what the ex -head of the property relations department Evgeny Vasiliev is now being judged," a certain source of the agency "close to the investigation" said.

Gorshkolepov became the first high -ranking official of the Ministry of Defense, detained in corruption after the arrival of the defense minister Sergei Shoigu (in 2012). It was reported that at first he held the post of referent of the Department of Property Relations, and later became deputy head of Dio. This happened shortly after the dismissal of the former head of the department - Evgenia Vasilieva , who became the main defendant in the high -profile case of Oboronservis. After increasing the gallopo, he publicly called all the officials who worked under the leadership of Vasilyeva, the "corrupt officials" and promised to "restore order".
