I know what cancer is, firsthand. I know how important it is to get adequate, professional, high -tech treatment in time. And it's not only about the qualification of doctors. The availability of drugs and the availability of ultra -complex devices are important.

I rarely participate in public fundraising, no matter what the money is intended. And I am not in any charitable organization. Russian or foreign. This is a lot of reasons. But today I am making an exception.

We are talking about the life and health of three and a half thousand Russians, annually collided with the diagnosis of Cancer.

I know what cancer is, firsthand. I know how important it is to get adequate, professional, high -tech treatment in time. And the point is not only in the qualifications of doctors. The availability of drugs, the availability of super -complex devices, and their ability to manipulate, and the availability of laboratory tests are important.

Many years ago, the first President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev, together with his wife Raisa Maximovna, decided to create an oncological clinic in Russia - the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Transplantology. They decided to build it in St. Petersburg. Until the opening of the Research Institute, Raisa Maksimovna, unfortunately, did not live, but the clinic, which now bears her name, has become one of the best in Europe.

Now the Gorbacheva Research Institute is the only federal clinic in the country where children and adults make bone marrow transplants (transplantation) of all species and any complexity. The clinic has a family with laboratories in which unique blood, tissues, bone marrow are carried out in complexity. Based on these studies, doctors make an accurate diagnosis, justify the prognosis, select a course of treatment, monitor the course of the disease, take bone marrow, determine the dosage of drugs ... In a word, they are engaged in all that leads to a person’s recovery and his return to life.

The state built and equipped the laboratories at the Research Institute. Gorbacheva. But money for reagents and other supplies that would allow these laboratories to work uninterruptedly - no. And if the laboratories are slipped, everything is slipping and stops.

There are not enough 32 million rubles a year. The money, of course, is large ... but only at first glance. Think for yourself: if 32 million people bring only one ruble per year, then the issue will be resolved.
