In Estonia, a mysterious real estate object was discovered, which put historians in a dead end

Estonian historians were unable to determine the purpose of the intermediary structure with a pipe next to the former Krenholm barracks on Khayla Street in Narva, reports Err.ee.

In the register of monuments of antiquity, the building is listed as a stove. It was built at the end of the 19th century from red brick. Initially, it was assumed that the construction with the pipe was intended for burning garbage, by analogy with similar structures in England, from where the architecture of the Krenholm factory district was imported, and where there really were installations for burning garbage.

However, during the restoration in 2011, Gary did not find traces of the so -called stove on the walls of the so -called stove. A little later it turned out that the building reminiscent of the stove is located above the old sewer manifold, so historians suggest that the construction could serve as a ventilation shaft, and it is known that similar buildings were originally in the territory of the manufactory.

Since since the 1930s the so-called furnace was used only as a garbage dump, and documentary data on its construction has not been preserved, scientists have to be content with hypotheses.
