Signs with the names of these people appeared in St. Petersburg as part of the project "Last address" . The lawyers are installed on houses, from where people, commemorative signs took people during the years of the Stalinist terror.
"One person is one tablet." The installation of signs began in December in Moscow. The idea of the organizers is to establish personal memorial signs (with the name, surname and years of birth, arrest, death and rehabilitation) on those Moscow houses that in different years became someone's last lifetime address. Project financing is carried out at the expense of voluntary donations. The “Last Address” project develops the ideas of the European memorial project “Stones of the stumbling block”, within the framework of which more than 45 thousand memorial plates are installed in memory of the victims of the Holocaust in 11 countries of Europe.
“We have our own Holocaust - political repressions,” says project initiator Sergey Parkhomenko.
