The Lefortovo Court in Moscow extended the arrest of Gennady Kravtsov, accused of treason, for two months, the court’s press service told RIA Novosti. “The court granted the investigation’s request, extending Kravtsov’s arrest period by two months, and up to 12 months in total,” the agency’s interlocutor said. Kravtsov is accused under Article 275 of the Criminal Code (high treason). He was arrested on May 27 last year. The case materials are classified as “secret,” but on March 11, the defendant’s wife said that a graduate of the Mozhaisky Higher Educational Institution in St. Petersburg worked for 15 years in the GRU with security clearance. According to his wife, in 2011, Kravtsov’s non-disclosure agreement ended, and the man began to look for work abroad, in particular, he sent his resume to a Swedish company. In the summer of 2013, FSB officers became interested in Kravtsov - a search was carried out in his apartment.
