A teleconference with Mikhail Khodorkovsky took place in Novosibirsk despite obstacles

The organizers of Mikhail Khodorkovsky's teleconference in Novosibirsk have joined the videoconference from the Guevara nightclub, reports Taiga.info . However, a few minutes after the start of the broadcast, the lights were turned off in the institution and loud music was turned on. The organizers were previously not allowed to hold the event at the Otpusk club "due to technical reasons." Employees of the institution told the broadcast coordinator Leonid Yuldashev and the leader of the Novosibirsk branch of "RPR-Parnassus" Yegor Savin that the premises were "flooded".

The participants and main organizers of the videoconference waited at the door of the "Vacation" until its official start at 19:00 (17:00 Moscow time) and went to look for another place. The teleconference with Novosibirsk began at the scheduled time.

After a ten-minute walk through the center of Novosibirsk in heavy rain, the main group of Khodorkovsky's listeners and journalists tried to settle down in a cafe next to the Globus Theatre. However, there was not enough space for everyone, and it was decided to go to the Guevara club. It should be noted that throughout the entire journey, Savin and Yuldashev were accompanied by employees of the center “E” of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Novosibirsk Region and the FSB, dressed in civilian clothes.

A group of journalists and supporters of "Open Russia" eventually went to Guevara. The organizers started the installation of equipment, but immediately after that, the lights went out in the institution. The club's administrators announced that the electricity was out, but Yuldashev turned on the laptop autonomously and the participants and journalists, including federal news agencies, watched the teleconference for five minutes. However, the place turned on loud music to drown out Khodorkovsky. Savin and Yuldashev decided to move further in the center of Novosibirsk, and the broadcast of the video communication between Novosibirsk and Khodorkovsky continued all this time. At the time of publication, the teleconference was coming to an end: the participants asked the politician and the businessman about his views on the prospects for the Russian economy, relations with Ukraine, the reasons for the murder of Boris Nemtsov and the possibility of Khodorkovsky returning to Russia.
