Musical videos will receive an age rating

Starting from March 26, music videos posted on the Internet on YouTube and Vevo video services will be shown in the UK with an indication of age -related viewing restrictions.

According to BBC , age ratings are introduced with the support of the state as part of a program aimed at protecting children from information harmful to them. The program is attended by all three major recording industry - Universal Music Group , Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Music Group .

Since October last year, as part of the first stage of the program, they send their video content for consideration to the British Council for the Classification of Films.

In total, at the first stage of the program, 84 music videos received age restrictions. After the British Council on the Classification of Films assigns ratings, the Mayaghors transmit information about these ratings to the YouTube and Vevo services, which, in turn, are required to supply the clips with the relevant designations during their online broadcasting.
