Tumas Transtermer died

On Thursday, March 26, in Stockholm at the age of 83, the Swedish poet, Laureate of the Nobel Prize Tumas Transtermer, died.

Tummas Tramteromer was born in 1931 in Stockholm, a professional psychologist, first worked in prison for minors, later with people who received serious injuries.

The author of 12 books of poetry and prose. The works of the transmitter are translated into 60 languages, including Russian. Laureate of many literary awards, including the poetic prize of the Bonnier Publishing House (1983) and the Petrarch Awards (1981).

In 2011, Tumas Transtermer was awarded the Nobel Prize in the literature "For the compaction of the transparency of the images of fresh perception of reality."

After a stroke, transferred in the early 1990s, the Tramter learned to write and play the piano with his left hand, continued to compose poetry. His last poetic collection was published in 2004, the last interview with the poet was recorded on February 12 at his house in Stockholm.
