A criminal case was transferred to the Leninsky District Court of Novosibirsk against four local residents - Kirill Korzhavin, Vladislav Shipovalov, Sergey Belov and not named by the name of the minor - who charges a number of city objects in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Belov was charged with part 2 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code (vandalism committed by a group of persons), the sanction of which is up to three years of the colony. The other three defendants, along with this accusation, were charged with this and b points and “b” Part 2 of Article 244 (group desecration of the structure dedicated to the fight against fascism). For such actions, the code provides for up to five years.

As stated in the case file, on the night of December 3, 2014, Korzhavin, a minor and Belov, having come to the building of the Communist Party of the Communist Party, cut off the flag of this party, and also painted a swastika and rune of Wolfsangel, which, among other things, is used as the emblem of the Azov battalion. After that, they painted the signs of the headquarters of United Russia in the Central District of the city and applied the same symbols on them.

On December 12, Korzhavin, a minor and Shipovalov painted in a blue and yellow color a monument to Lenin at the Gipgol Institute, and on the pedestal they wrote "Glory to Ukraine". Then they appeared in the square "Monument of Glory" and there they painted in the same colors the installation of a BM-13 Katyusha salvo jet fire, as well as the T-34 tank. In addition, Wolfsangel was also applied to military equipment, and the T-34 tank was written on the Azov T-34 memorial plaque.

On December 15, it became known about the detention of the suspects . They were a minor son of a judge and 23-year-old Korzhavin. From the first, they took the subscription about the wizard, the second was arrested. Later in December, 19-year-old Shipovalov was detained and arrested. Belov was not particularly reported about the detention and choice of preventive measure.
