The Bild am Sonntag newspaper published a transcript of a fragment of a recording from the “black box” of an Airbus A320 that crashed in the Alps.
In the recording, the captain of the aircraft, Patrick Sondenheimer, says that he did not have time to go to the toilet before taking off from Barcelona. Co-pilot Andreas Lubitz replies that he is ready to take control at any moment. A few minutes later, the first pilot handed the controls to Lubitz and left the cockpit.
After the plane began to descend, an automatic alarm sounded in the cockpit. The commander tried to open the door for 8 minutes - the sounds of blows can be heard on the recording. Before the crash, the first pilot shouted: “Open the damn door!”
In the recording, passengers can also be heard screaming before the plane crashed into the mountain (German).
