On March 26, speaking at the International Conference “Partnership of the State and Business”, the chairman of the parliamentary committee to counteract corruption, Irina Yarovaya said that the fight against corruption can be used to destroy the state sovereignty
As an example, Yarovaya brought Ukraine: according to her, there, "under the guise of the fight against corruption, the entire system of state power was destroyed." And, by the way, Yarovaya is not the discoverer of the topic. A little earlier, the Prochrevsky political scientist Oleg Matveychev in an interview with the Perm Tribune newspaper said the following: “There is no such internal threat as corruption. This is a far -fetched nonsense that came to us from the West. ” And he added: "All talk about corruption is ways to destabilize our domestic political situation." Before him, Igor Zubov, Deputy Minister of the Interior, spoke in the same vein: “All color revolutions in all countries began under the slogan of the fight against corruption.” That is, we obviously are dealing with some trend.
Firstly, it is just ridiculous: the head of the committee to combat corruption indicates the danger of combating corruption. The ban on criticism of corrupt officials is equated with the protection of sovereignty, and critics (sofamily understandable) turn out to be the main enemies of the country. That is, any loud words pronounced by state people can now be perceived as covering a banal desire to steal more.

But there is a more serious moment: the state of its own corrupt officials from time to time revealing indicatively (recall the recent arrest of the Sakhalin Governor of Khoroshavin, for example). In the public administration system, corruption is both a shadow benefit for an official and a special tool for ensuring his loyalty. The ability to steal implies the opportunity to sit in case of violation of the adopted rules. So, corruption in the country of fictitious institutions is almost the only effective institution.
And this makes it clear to the wrath of state people at the usual people in case ordinary people decide to deal with corruption on their own. Inside their logic, such attempts are not the desire to improve the country, but an attempt on the main mechanism of power.
