The Alatau district court of Alma-Ata sentenced a resident of the city Tatyana Shevtsov-Valova by four years conditionally with a three-year trial on charges of inciting interethnic growth. It is reported by Radio Azattyk.

As Radio Freedom clarifies , in her publications on Facebook, Shevtsov-Valova called the Kazakhs "chocks" and stated that Kazakhstan should be attached to Russia, as happened with the Crimea.

Almaatinka was held accountable after complaints of several Internet users. The court lasted since January 23. The accused during the investigation and the court was under house arrest.

Shevtsova-Valova did not admit her guilt. She stated that the imputed publications do not belong to her. The defendant explained the appearance of these texts by the fact that someone could create a fake account under her name. “I have been living in Kazakhstan for 46 years,” the defendantsaid to reporters. “My mother lives in Russia, all my relatives moved back in 97. I still live here. Do you think I love this land?”
