As the press service of the Investigative Committee clarified , charges under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud) were brought against the former Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Alexander Reimer, his former deputy Nikolai Krivolapov, and the Director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Center for Information Technology Support and Communications” of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Viktor Oderenov. and the general director of the commercial organization Nikolai Martynov.

Former high-ranking officials of the Federal Penitentiary Service are accused of theft of more than 2.7 billion rubles allocated in 2010-2012 for the provision of “electronic bracelets.” According to investigators, the purchase of systems for tracking those arrested was carried out at prices that were inflated several times. “So, a stationary control device worth 19 thousand rubles was purchased for 108 thousand, and a mobile one, instead of the same 19, was purchased at a price of 128 thousand,” the ICR said in a statement.

On Tuesday, investigators intend to petition for the arrest of Reimer, Odetranov and Martynov.
