Russian President Vladimir Putin has called an operational meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council, said . press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov
Putin discussed non-political issues at the meeting: the situation in Yemen, negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program and the situation in Ukraine, and the implementation of the Minsk agreement to end the war in Donbass.
In addition, domestic Russian socio-economic issues were on the agenda, Peskov added.
The meeting was attended by all members of the Security Council, with the exception of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who is in Lausanne for talks on Iran's nuclear program.
The Security Council of Russia is an advisory body that prepares decisions of the President on issues of ensuring the protection of the vital interests of the state. The Secretary of the Security Council is Nikolai Patrushev.
