Gazprom officially replaced the auditor PwC with the Russian FBK

FBK was recognized as the auditor of Gazprom's financial statements under IFRS for 2015, FBK said in a statement.

"The FBK company was recognized as the winner of an open competition for the right to provide services for the audit of the accounting (financial) statements of Gazprom, the consolidated financial statements of the Gazprom group and the consolidated financial statements of the Gazprom group prepared in accordance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) for 2015,” says the FBK message.

The report also notes that FBK has been cooperating with Gazprom since 1996 and provides services to approximately 80% of the company's subsidiaries.

Since 1995, Gazprom's auditor has been ZAO PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit.

State-owned companies began to freeze their relations with auditors from the Big Four - PwC, Deloitte, Ernst & Young and KPMG, the Kommersant newspaper wrote in November, citing the words of Kirill Altukhov, partner of the KPMG audit services department in Russia and the CIS. This information was confirmed to the newspaper by one of the Russian auditing companies.
