Former head of the Moscow judicial department Lipezin was charged with fraud

Investigators brought charges against the former head of the Moscow Judicial Department Vyacheslav Lipezin, his deputy Lyubov Lopatina and former deputy Igor Kudryavtsev, as well as the general director of the translation agency Rabikon LLC Umar Zarobekov. All four are charged under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud), said official representative of the Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin on Friday. The head of the translation agency, Zarobekov and Kudryavtsev, are charged with preparing and transmitting false court orders on the remuneration of translators who worked in various courts of the capital. They indicated a much larger amount than the translation services actually cost. Lepezin and Lopatina, according to investigators, ensured payment of “payments” without checking the information contained in them. The damage caused to the budget in 2014 alone is estimated at 300 million rubles. All four defendants in the case were taken into custody. Initiator of an audit and a criminal case on the fact of overspending on translators in the Moscow courts initiated by the head of the Moscow City Court Olga Egorova. In a letter to the Supreme Court, she indicated that the actual expenses for translators and the amounts requested by the judicial department differed by 44 times.
