On March 30, the Basmanny Court extended Nepomniachtchi's house arrest for five months, until September 6.

In early March, investigators held a confrontation between Nepomniachtchi and the injured policeman, who refused to answer questions about how the person involved in the case caused him bodily harm.

Ivan Nepomnyashchikh is charged with “participation in mass riots” and “use of violence against a government official” (Part 2 of Article 212 and Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

On May 6, 2012, clashes with the police took place during an opposition rally on Bolotnaya Embankment. The organizers say that this was the result of non-compliance with the agreements by the Moscow authorities.
